EF GATHERED MAKERS CRAFT ALONG
Welcome, you’ve arrived to the Earthen Fiber Gathered Makers Craft Along, thank you for being here. The EF Gathered Makers Craft Along was created to support makers during Mental Health Awareness Month. This Craft Along is an invitation for all makers to intentionally sit with their craft, connecting with self, community, and the medicine that crafting offers. Stitch by stitch, thread by thread, quilt by quilt, the medicine is found in the making. This making, this deep creative expression is a powerful form of expansion and remembrance. A remembrance that allows one to connect to the sacred creative self, to allow what needs to live in the space to be created! This powerful form of remembrance has been used since the beginning of time to bring makers home to self and together in chosen community.
Creating art allows us to navigate and explore deep and difficult emotions, manage stress, increase self-esteem, creatively express joy, and more! Ultimately, creating art profoundly promotes health and overall well-being. When we create and connect to art, we allow ourselves the opportunity to experience deep transformation!
Crafting has the power to heal and that is why during Mental Health Awareness Month in May we will gather virtually as fiber/textile artists and makers to craft and heal in sacred community.

Essential Information
Date: May 1st, 2026 - May 31st, 2026
There will be live virtual dates (see below) where you’re invited to join us for workshops and the closing ceremony!
Eligibility:
All fiber/textile craft practices (e.g., crochet, knit, weaving, spinning, embroidery, punch needling, quilting etc.)
Beginner artists/crafters are invited to participate. If you are a beginner, you are welcome to ask questions about any project(s) you choose to work on during the Craft Along. However, it is important to understand that no fiber craft will be taught during the Craft Along.
18 years and older
Earthen Fiber Gathered Makers Craft Along for Mental Health Awareness Month is an inclusive virtual gathering space open to all artists/crafters. We welcome participants of all races, genders, and abilities to create in community and feel supported.
What you need to participate: Your project, internet access to join workshops and closing Craft and Sound, supplies for live virtual workshops will be sent via email (don’t worry you won’t need much), and access to the main platform Discord and/or Instagram.
How to join: Enter your email at the bottom of the page. You’ll receive updates, details about live virtual dates, and other important information.
How the EF Gathered Makers Craft Along Works:
Pick a project you’ve been wanting to start, finish, or a new fiber craft you’ve been wanting to teach yourself
Join the Discord channel where we’ll have fun, restorative, and healing activities related to crafting and mental health

Discord will be used as the main platform for connection. All Craft Along information will be shared on Discord. When you sign up for the Craft Along, you’ll receive instructions on how to join the Discord channel.
